Impressions of Saint Seiya Omega's second episode!

I've watched the second episode of Saint Seiya, and so far, the show manages to improve in some ways, but also shows me some worries. Moreover,I can briefly say even with the new ideas that shows me concern, the last episode was better than the first, and the series walks to a good path.If you have watched or you don't mind to be spoiled, keep reading.
Spoiler Alert!
This Post has information about the plot.
To start off,i really like how Shaina played an important role by protecting Kouga, that scene immediately remembered  me of the same scene where she saves Seiya, who is attacked by the golden saint Aiolia in the original saga, although her reason is different. While in the original she saved Seiya because she loved him,in Omega she saves Kouga because it's her pupil.

Now,about the new bronze saint and partner of Kouga.Souma of Minor Lion (or Lionet?) remindes me a LOT of Iato, the unicorn bronze saint, from Lost Canvas,i think their personalitty is almost the same.I liked this character,he's funnier than Kouga although he seems to be very weak when he fought Mars's subordinate.Furthermore, his cloth is great, such a shame that the animation quality make it look more like a clothe for display than an armor for protection.

While i was talking about Souma,i didn't mention the his fire element because i wanted to separate this topic. This is the source of my worries and conerns,as this stuff about elements is somewhat new.I used "somewhat" because if you stop to analize, those elements (not all of them) existed behind the five original bronze saints, but they weren't important as their cosmos in a fight. What has always decided the battles in Saint Seiya was the fact who had the highest cosmo, and from what i have seen, the element of Kouga pratically settled the battle against Mantis.Don't get me wrong: I think the idea of the elements is good, but they need to be careful how they will use it,because if they continue to use that to decide the battles,it will be more close to a Pokemon.

Finally, about their first oponent...wtf was that?Despite of being one of the first ridiculous and trashy enemies,Oldyckia of Mantis is bad only because i can't  write that name without looking on google.Nice to see that they did another reference to the original, when the pegasus cloth was too heavy for Kouga because of his weak cosmo.

Well, that was all i had to talk about it.I know that i didn't speaked about Palaestra, which is the place where new saints were being trained, but since it has been barely mentioned,i will leave to the next impressions because it will probably be explored in the next episode.
