Review of the first episode of Saint Seiya Omega

Tuesday, April 3, 2012

I've finally watched Saint Seiya Omega's first episode, and i can briefly say that although it's not in the same quality of Lost Canvas,it manages to have an interesting plot and has potential to be a good series.
                                         Few Spoilers.

What I liked:

- There is an intelligent dialogue which connects with the plot,it doesn't feel rushed like hades elyseum and meikai.
- Mix of the old and new ideas.I've notice they picked up some from Lost Canvas and others at the original Saint Seiya. They remixed pegasus fantasy, and i think was great.

What i hated:

- Poor quality animation.Come on,if Lost Canvas, which escapes a bit from the orginal saga, the animation was good, why they couldn't make at least the same quality for the sequel?Notice that what i'm criticizing is the animation, not the art.
- Kouga is annoying as Seiya, lol.
- Not so much information about the plot yet.Why Mars's started to threat the Earth? How he appeared?

As i said,i think it has potential to be a good series, but  for now it's an average one, mainly because the of the strange plot (Mars) and the poor animation.I hope i'm wrong, but we will only find out in the next episodes.
